Desk Read Bigger Wall: which side has more dollars

Updated 2026-10-27

What the Bigger wall line answers

The Bigger wall line is the first line of the Desk Read. It asks one plain question: within about 1 to 5% of the current price, which side holds the bigger dollar wall of estimated liquidations?

Walls above price are mostly short liquidations. Walls below price are mostly long liquidations. The line names the side with more stacked dollars, how big that wall is, where it sits and how far away it is. It says where the money sits, never which way price goes.

How the line is built

The live Desk Read block on this page loads from /api/desk_read?symbol=BTCUSDT. The first line reads Bigger wall: below, $X at $Y, Z% away. Then it names the nearest sized wall on each side, for example Nearest: $A 0.4% above, $B 0.8% below. The next line says what lies past the bigger wall: Beyond $Y, no cluster within 3%.

Each figure is a dollar size, a price or a percent distance from price. Numbers on this page are never invented: they come from that live endpoint, delayed for free readers.

How to use the line without overreading it

Useful habits:

  • Read the bigger wall as a structure map. More estimated forced size sits there; that does not mean the next candle prints that way.
  • Pair it with Hurt and Plan when you have an entry and leverage, so you see where you get taken out relative to the walls.
  • Pair it with Crowd (funding and open interest) so you know whether the dollar walls sit with or against the crowded side.
  • Confirm the same clusters on the Money Map before you size a trade.

Bring your strategy. We bring the discipline.

What the line is not

The Bigger wall line is not a trade instruction and not a forecast. Liquidation maps are estimates across venues, not a full ledger of every position. A bigger wall can sit untouched for a long time. A smaller wall can still matter if it sits on your stop path.

Every level we publish is scored in public, misses included. Check the live grade on /proof before you lean on any number. Until a published-levels bucket is marked sellable, we quote no hit rate at all.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Desk Read Bigger wall line?

It names the bigger dollar wall of estimated liquidations within about 1 to 5% of price, above or below, with its size, price and distance, then the nearest wall on each side. It is descriptive market structure, not a trade instruction.

Does a bigger wall above mean Bitcoin will rally?

No. It means more estimated liquidation dollars sit above price than below inside the band. Price can still fall. Use it as context beside your own plan.

Where do the wall numbers come from?

From the live Desk Read API for that coin, shown in the block at the top of this guide and on the free Money Map with a delay. Guides do not hard-code dollar sizes.

How is the bigger wall different from a liquidation magnet?

A magnet is a single dense cluster on the map. The Bigger wall line compares the two sides inside a near band and names the heavier one. Both describe structure. Neither promises a fill.

Can I get the Desk Read for ETH, SOL, or other coins?

Yes. The Desk Read covers BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, and DOGE. Open a free account or use the map with the coin selected. Create a free account at /signup.

Put this into practice on the map

Choose your market, inspect nearby liquidation concentrations, then compare both sides of price. These are estimates, not targets.

The free map is delayed. Pro adds real-time liquidity and the full dashboard: Levels Map, whale tracking and market intelligence. Review the public accuracy record before choosing a plan.
